On Saturday the 3rd of June the traditional Music Day of Oslo will be arranged, with free concerts all over the city. New of this year is the Metal Scene which will be held at “Middelalderparken” in the center of Oslo. This is the same place as the Øya-Festival is held.

The response of the new album has been massive! On the first week after its release “Pitch Black Brigade” entered at number 29 on the Norwegian Top 30 national chart of VG. Brilliant reviews keep coming in: 5/6 from Norwegian Eternal Terror and 9/10 from German magazines such as Metalius and Metal 1, while Walls of Fire gåve it 4.5/5. The “Pitch Black Brigade” at Rock In/Oslo was a great success. The show was sold out long before Vreid entered the stage. Vreid hails the people coming from all over the world to attend to this event.

This weekend Vreid will be playing at their home soil. Friday the 28th there will be a double concert at Meieriet/Sogndal. The first concert will are free age limit concert, and doors open at 18.30. The second concert has an 18 year limit, and doors open at 22.00.
Support act for the free age concert will be uprising local band Black Angel.

Saturday Vreid will be playing the Transistorfest at Kroa in BØ together with 1349 & Disiplin. Over the next weeks Vreid will also be playing in Sandnes and Bergen.

Due to delay in the printing of the album, the Norwegian release date has been postponed 1 week until Monday the 10th April. Enjoy the video of “Pitch Black” while you wait.

It is with great pleasure we can announce that Vreid is confirmed for Europe’s main metal festival Wacken Open Air in Germany 03-05 August. www.wacken.com

A new show has been added to the springroam of Norway. Vreid will be playing the Transistor Fest at Kroa in Bø/Norway Saturday the 29th of April.

It is going to be a hectic year for the Vreid Brigade. If you want to catch a Vreid show this year, you’re chances are very good.

In April/May there will be Norwegian shows in Bergen, Oslo, Sandnes & Sogndal. Some of these will be double concerts. One with free age entrance, and one with 18 years limit.

In June and July Vreid will do headliner shows in Germany, Belgium & Holland. Among these are headliner jobs at the Pagan Nights Festival in Germany and Nevelfest in Belgium. There will be more shows and festivals added both for Norway & Europe. As soon as anything is confirmed, it will be posted here.

After the successful European tour of 2005, we have once again gotten the honor of doing a European tour with Enslaved. The tour will og over 4 weeks in the period of September / October. The line up will be Enslaved, Vreid & Khold. The tour is being booked by www.goldstar.no
