Allright! This will sureley be something different. We dont get to see you this summer , but instead we will take you on a virtual journey to the Sogndal. Spread the word and invite as many as you can to this event. Thanks for your support.
With the world at a standstill, and all shows for 2020 cancelled, Vreid decided to open the gates and invite you all to their home mountains on the west coast of Norway. Vreids history reach back to the mid 90s, and this will be a journey through their musical history with a live session in spectacular nature settings. The show will be opened by a biographical intro done by producer Håvard Nesbø.
The extreme nature and the history of our dear homeplace Sogn have always been a huge inspiration and important factor of our musical universe states bass guitarist and composer Jarle Hváll Kvåle. So, when we can’t travel the world to meet you, we decided that we will bring you all to our natural habitat. We will do a show at my own mountain farm in the Sogndal valley. It’s been in my family for generations and is located in some of Norway’s wildest and most spectacular nature. This is where a lot of our music is written, and this is where our roots lay. It surely will be a unique experience with a special setlist. We will perform songs that we have never done live before alongside live set classics. Welcome to the mountains of Sognametal.

We are thrilled to announce that all of our back-catalogue will be re-released on vinyl in a special series called «All colours gone». More or less all albums are sold out on vinyl, and some of them have been for years. Therefore, we are very pleased that Indie Recordings now will make all albums available again.In total this means 8 albums (damn, we are getting old), and they will be released in batches of 2. The first one will be very special as the albums «Kraft» and «Pitch Black Brigade» are the only 2 albums that were never released on vinyl. Now, theses 2 albums packed with songs that have been in our live sets for more than 15 years, will finally see the light of day, or dark of night if you will, on vinyl.All albums will be released with a special new design in black and white cover art and solid white vinyl. The designs are done by the art wizard Remi Juliebø of Deformat who also did the artwork for our last album Lifehunger.We are extremely proud to give new life to our entire legacy and hope you will enjoy it.

One Hundred Years
Soon we can finally unleash «Lifehunger»! We are so damn satisfied and proud of this album, and thank you for the fantastic response for the 2 first singles. There are much more to come, the album have a lot of variations with instrumentals, a very different track in «Hello Darkness» with Addi from Solstafir on guest vocals and some brutal stuff of course. But now we present you what we think is one of the absolute highlights of the album.
«The song «One hundred years» is one of these songs that you do in your career where you feel that every puzzle matches, and everything just add up. It’s hard to describe it, and frankly the magic of music can never be described, so I won’t even try. I have had this feeling a few times before with songs such as «Pitch Black» and «Solverv» to name a few, and this is the feeling I always chase as a composer. Lyrically this songs is completly inspired by the words and the myth of the spectacular Knut Hamsun. Some things are eternally»
