We are proud to announce that our third album I Krig is now ready. The album will be released through Indie Recordings, and Norwegian release date is May the 8th. European and US dates will follow soon.

The Brigade

Today the last show for the “Northern Brigade Tour” was confirmed. 02.04.2007 Vreid will play at the Old Times Club in Neede in Holland. The complete tourlist can be found in the gig section. We are really looking forward to once again play for our loyal fans, and hopefully many new ones as well, in the UK, Holland, Belgium and Germany. We can promise you that you will get some tasters of our forthcoming album I KRIG. See you all soon!

The Brigade

Since we left Tabu last summer, we have discussed contracts with several labels. We are now very pleased to tell that our new working partner is norwegian Indie Recordings! We can truly say we have ended up working with the people we want to work with!

Indie Recordings is a in-house metal-label under Indie Distribution; norways biggest distributor of metal. The label is formed by the same people who originally founded Tabu Recordings. More info can be found on their website: http://www.indiedist.no/

Our new album I KRIG ( AT WAR ) is almost finished. The finishing touch from mastermind Lars Klokkerhaug ( Sub Sonic Society ) is being done as we speak, and we must say that we are very, very satisfied with the result! This is undoubtfully the best Vreid-album so far!!

Tracknames and coverart for I KRIG will be revealed on this web-site in a couple of weeks.

We are proud to announce that we will do our first European headline tour. The Northern Brigade tour 2007, presented by Rock Hard Magazine, will kick of at the Ragnaròk Festival in Lichtenfels, Germany, Friday the 30th of March and will bring Vreid to Germany, Belgium, Holland and the UK. Check out the gig section for concert details. Joining us as special guest will be Battered, the crushing trash metal assault rising from the demise of legendary Einherjer, and In Vain, one of Norways most promising bands these days with their progressive blackness. In the middle of January we did our first US show at the annual Heathen Crusade festival. A big thanks to the organizers, and all the fans, that made this a brilliant night! We hope to be returning to the US later this year.

This weekend we have finished the recording sessions of our third album I KRIG ( AT WAR ). It will be a beast of an album!! The mix will be done at the end of the month in Subsonic Society Studio, and hopefully we will be able to give you some teasers on this page during March. Those attending the Northern Brigade tour will also have the unique chance to hear some of the new material live before the album hit the stores.

Our new label has been clear since December, and it will be announced shortly. The label wants to launch the signing of Vreid themselves, so until then………
